Layout

Hi all lovely crafters,

I'm Apexa here again.... This year seems to be running.. its already the 10th month getting over in our calendar and the festivals are also over. Suddenly u feel your houses are vacant, no relatives coming over, those late night giggles and those lovely celebrations have just got over.. But guess what? I have something beautiful for all of you to keep your festival light inside your hearts alive.. Yayyy Yayyy

I am sure you all must have invested in festive paper packs and stencils. You must be thinking about storing it for next year.. But here i have a marvelous project for all of you to make good use of the festival collection..

So here I am, after making so many festive cards and projects with this paper pack... have come up with a layout which u can use it in any season...

1.I have used this paper from paperious Diwali paper pack where I removed the diya part from the paper aside Have cut few flowers from the cut part of the paper and distressed them with fossilized amber and cracked pistachio distress inks.

2.Have also made these paper sticks with paper size of 4” x 2” and distressed them with same distress oxide shades.

4. Collect few die cuts and extra decorative material to give  some more details to the layout..

5. Arranged these die cuts to the created frame and few more part to the paper

Distress the edges of the paper and from two opposite sides I tear the paper and rolled it up…also colour those folded edges

6. Emboss the white Irish paper  with embossing folder and again colour it with fossilized amber and cracked pistachio and place it to the sides of the layouts

and here is the final output.....

hope u like the tutorial and it has given u some inspiration..... if so pl. leave your love by commenting below...coming up with some more tutorials soon

All with stencil techniques

Good Morning Everyone,

Today I want to share few stencil techniques where I had created few cards from the stencils that I had received from craftsneed. Below is the background on the card which is the out come of those different techniques with different stencils.
Check with the tutorial below.

Firstly I had used a water colour paper since I was using water colours which can brighten up the colours more vivid as when it seeps through the paper. I placed and masked the stencil on water colour card stock with the painter`s tape. Once secured nicely brush on whole paper with water. While its wet add colours of different shades brushing throughout generously. Dry with heat gun so that excess colour don't seep through in the stencils which may ruin the design. once done prepare for the element to be stuck on the background.

This is the second technique with same paper but used my distress inks. I sponged dual colours of green half and half  in circular motion to avoid any blotting.

For  third technique I used water colour pencils from faber castle. This is a bit lengthy one but fun technique to do with .Place the stencil neatly and secure with tape. You can use any kind of white paper for so since I will be doing it only pencils and giving some shades on design later on. Draw your pattern along the inside of stencils and done with shadings to give more vivid bright pattern

you can see below how shadings brighten up the entire design if needed you can merge colours with wet brush to give more softer look .

for fourth technique I used water colour spray bottles of 2 colours and sprayed half and half  on paper which achieved 3rd hue in middle when sprayed on paper and immediately heat set the whole colour.

Below u can see the final look after all the techniques used to for background.

For the elements I used stamps from craft need. I stamped the imaged with versa mark ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder and later diecut them. Then I used memento dye ink to colour all over giving more depth in center. Stuck the diecut  on another diecut to give  the boarders to enhance the center image. And the sentiments are too from the same stamp set which were also heat embossed on black card stock with white frost embossing powder.

Finally when all done I placed my elements on to the card with foam tape behind to give it a little raised look.

Im Rachu here.,

To start with I first want to thank Bhavani Balaji the sole proprietor of Craftsneed for choosing me as DT for her blog... This is my first time and I am honoured and glad to be a part of B-SQUARE team.

I love working with bright colours and this paper pack was perfect. I have created Shagun envelopes which we use during Diwali.... Love the colour.... Perfect peacock themed. I have also added an elephant which I used through stencils created by the team.  The stencils are just perfectly designed,  the quality is amazing and so is the output....

And thanks for these goodies.

First I have created shaker shagun envelope,  have used the pattern paper of Papericious, Diwali themed,  added flowers for embellishments and pearl rose lace to finish the look and happy Diwali cut out

Next envelope is again from the same paper pack layered it on white cardstock and then added lace on the top portion.  Next used Camlin gesso on the stencil, I liked the design of elephant and it came out nicely too.  Finished it with flowers and bling. Have also used magnets for the closure.
