Decoupage,Stenciling and Alteration techniques

Hello all lovely people,

Afreen here,I am very happy and excited to be part of Craftsneed.com/blog . This is My First DT post for Craftsneed..Today I am going to share 3 projects with you guys.. sit back and enjoy the tutorial and the projects :)

Starting with my first project:

Altered Tree Frame

I made an Altered Tree MDF frame, started with coating raw MDF tree frame using black acrylic paint, then hanged few charms and leaves here and there using bronze chain and jump rings, for leaves I used thread. To add beauty to the frame I stuck small flowers  with pearls in the center, also stuck more pearls around inner small frames.

Step 2: Now add textures to the box, place the stencil gently above the tissue box, and apply texture paste over it, (i just mixed little amount of black paint to the textured paste this is optional ) let the paste to dry, you can also use heat gun to dry them fast.

placed stencil above the box

added texture over it
Step 3: After the texture paste dried completely, paint the textured area using  black paint and let it dry

Step 4: Now its time to add colors to it , you can add any colors of your wish, but here am adding only gold acrylic paint and gold 3D cone outliner to give antique look.. take a sponge, dub it in  acrylic paint and gently apply over the box in circular motion, now apply little amount of gold liner in same way ( you can also use Inka gold to get darker/brighter shade)
Note: follow 2,3 and 4th steps again for the 4 sides  of the  box.

Step 5: Now for decoration,  you need corner charms, chains &  jump rings. Cut 4 chain pieces according to the  box measurement, connect the 1st chain to the 1st  corner charm using jump ring and adhere it to the box, now connect the other end of the chain 1st chain to the 2nd corner charm and add  2nd chain to it, like wise do it for other sides

charms added
Step 6:  To add some beauty to the box, i added oval stitched die cut embellished with brads .. adhered it to the center of the box

Step 7: Finally done with the box.. This is surely add some beauty to your table .
